Many individuals inexperienced with identifying rising damp issues may just assume that due to the usual tell-tale sign of a tide mark on the wall that you have a rising damp issue. FloodSense Contracting offer a full feasibility, design and installation services as well as a full range of waterproofing solutions for our clients. We recognise that waterproofing services require a bespoke approach to each and every project.
There are those that require a simple design service and there are others that require a complete waterproofing system or maybe even a full basement / cellar conversation including plumbing and electrics. FloodSense Contracting can cater for any requirement.
Our waterproofing systems are designed to work in harmony with the construction being worked on and with the water problem itself,
Once wall membranes have been fitted by our specially trained staff this forms a protective underlay which allows the surfaces to be dry lined or plastered directly over depending on the type of membrane used. The wall membranes and fixing systems are free from CFC’s and HCFC’s all adjoining membranes are sealed together using a self-adhesive tape or butyl rope.
Any water that penetrates the substrate behind the membrane falls to its lower edge where it is channelled into a predesigned drainage system. The channel itself is perforated to the rear, allowing water to enter, which then flows freely to a simper or other drainage point.
