Floodsense Contracting were asked to go and look at a basement in Kings Lynn by the owners who had for years, suffered from a wet, smelly and unusable space beneath their home. The main issue was the building being in a conservation area and so was listed.
We proposed using a membrane system with channels, sump and pump to create a dry habitable space for the homeowners to enjoy.
As the floor was laid with cobbles which formed part of the listed buildings features, we decided to lay an 8mm membrane directly over these prior to pouring premixed concrete to level the floor in order to protect them for future viewing if required.
